Kozhikode: The Kerala government has invited applications for education scholarships for Muslim girls. Muslim girls studying for graduate or post graduate professional courses can apply for the scholarship. The applicant should have secured admission to the course in merit via the common entrance test conducted in the state. She should have got admission in the institution in 2008. The attested copies of the SSLC certificate, certificate of qualifying exam and community certificate, income certificate issued by the village officer (original) and the account number of the applicant’s State Bank of Travancore bank account should be submitted to the principal of the institution where the student is studying along with the filled up application form. This should be done within September 18.

The scholarship was instituted as a result of the recommendations of the Paloli Muhammed Kutty Committee. The Committee was formed to study on how to implement the Sachar Committee report in Kerala.
